Former Liberian Vice President, Joseph Boakai has commended the efforts of the Executive Director of Sehwah Liberia Inc. and former Minister of Culture of Liberia, Hon. Louise Warmenwoah McMillian in initiating the establishment of a public library in Liberia in collaboration with Sixth Region Diaspora Caucus.
He gave the commendation recently at the launching of the Sehwah Liberia Inc. office in Liberia, describing her as a woman of substance.
"A lot of people go to other countries and forget where they come from, but I want to thank people who see good things in other countries and bring them back home. It’s good to have people who share visions like you and want good things for their country,” he said.
Ambassador Boakai further thanked Hon. McMillian for the interested she has shown and encouraging the people from diaspora to come and contribute towards the development of Liberia.
He called on Africans to join hands to see to the development of Africa noting that there is still so much to be done.
"Everywhere you go you see Africans contributing to the growth of the sector they find themselves in, it about time we contribute to our own? our children need access to quality education, we need to empower our youths and women too," he said.
